A comedy drama dealing with one family’s attempts to cope with life over the Christmas break.
We’ve all been there…too much sun, alcohol and in-laws- but this family has an added stress: It’s one year on since a devasting tragedy. Kath, the unruly daughter, wants to talk, but not so the rest of her family. The soaring temperatures outside are often matched by the temperatures inside, as the audience are treated to a cracking two acts that take an honest and humorous look at issues not often acknowledged in families, such as the way we handle sex, death and each other.
The cast featured several familiar faces including David Thomas, Peter Hulme, Gai Byrne, Chris Hawkins, Darienne Knight-Monaghan and new comer Madeleine Lipson, who plays the unruly daughter.
Set in coastal suburbia, it shows a family’s attempts to cope with life over the Christmas break. We’ve all been there – too much sun, alcohol and in-laws.
