“How whoopsy splunket, how wondercrump!” It’s The BFG!
Murwillumbah Theatre Company is proud to present Roald Dahl’s classic story about the Big Friendly Giant and little orphan Sophie, from October 17 at Murwillumbah Civic Centre.
The BFG, who nightly blows bottled dreams into the bedrooms of children, carries Sophie off to Giant Country, where they encounter human-eating giants like the Bloodbottler and Fleshlumpeater. In Dream Country, the BFG shows off his dream-catching skills before mistakenly capturing a nightmare, using it to create a fight between the other giants.
What happens to the BFG, Sophie and all those nasty giants? Well, you’ll have to come along to the show to find out.
The BFG is one of Dahl’s most famous stories and is sure to delight young and old alike. It is the fourth Dahl classic to be directed by Colin Elliott and will include colourful costumes and striking sets.
The BFG will be staged at Murwillumbah Civic Centre on Saturday, October 17 and 24 at 5.30pm, Saturday, October 31 at 7.30pm and Sunday, October 18, 25 and November 1 at 2pm.
